The inspiration for this came from several things. One of which was a discussion with a friend several months ago about one of my favourite pop artists, who was a more traditionally inclined person. The discussion then turned to marriage equality, and my friend said that the artist we were discussing was unlikely to support it. I didn't think so. Hence this. Sometimes people have asked me why I don't talk about my own life more. I write about how I feel about various happenings around the world, I talk about music, culture, campaigns for equality and everything in between - just not my everyday life, it seems. There's one reason - my life is probably boring according to your standards. I don't go clubbing, I don't go partying, and I certainly don't do anything crazy. There are definitely things more interesting than my life. That's why I write and talk on those things.
